Ensure skin is free of any excess oils, lotion, deodorant or any other skin care products on the area of the skin to be sugared. Do not exfoliate the day before, the day of or the day after treatment.

For best results hair should be at least 1/8 of an inch long (length of a grain of rice), usually two weeks growth. 1/4 inch for leg sugaring treatments.

If you are pain-sensitive, it is recommended to take a painkiller 30 minutes before your appointment.

Clients who are on or have been on Accutane in the last six months cannot be sugared. Accutane shuts off oil glands, which can cause lifting of the skin that could damage and scar skin.

If you are using Retin-A or any other topical cream for acne, you cannot be sugared on the areas where the cream is applied.

Yes! You can still be sugared during this time. For a Brazilian or Bikini Plus service, wear a tampon, tuck in the string, and we can easily complete the appointment.

Avoid sun, hot showers, and exercise for 24 hours.  Avoid any creams, lotions, or deodorants with artificial fragrances, as the pores are open.

Best results occur when scheduling appointments approximately every 3 – 4 weeks, with the first 3 appointments as the most important to achieve reduction of hair growth. at least 1/8 of an inch long (length of a grain of rice), usually two weeks growth. 1/4 inch for leg sugaring treatments.

You can cancel and reschedule your appointment online. You can do so by clicking on a link in your confirmation email and following the prompts to cancel and then reschedule. You may also contact us directly by email or phone. nt.

Please provide 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Less than 24 hours notice will result in a cancellation fee. No notice and not showing for an appointment, and you will be charged the full fee for the missed appointment. 

Before Your Appointment

  • Do not exfoliate the day before, the day of or the day after treatment.

  • If you are pain-sensitive, take a painkiller 30 minutes before your appointment.

First Sugaring Experience: ensure hair is at least 1/8 – 1/4 inch long (length of a grain of rice) or approximately 2 weeks growth

Hair being removed for the first time may be more resistant. As you have more services performed, the root becomes smaller and the hair removes more easily.

After Your Appointment

Immediately after your treatment skin may be more sensitive and you may experience some temporary redness. This is a normal reaction and disappears within an hour of treatment. To avoid this, it is recommended to soak in Dead Sea Salts after treatment to clean out the follicles.

Avoid:

  • Touching freshly sugared areas with unwashed hands.

  • Hot bath or shower, as it may cause increased skin sensitivity.

  • Working out 12-24 hours after your treatment, as perspiration may irritate the skin.

  • Sun tanning for at least 24 hours after your sugaring appointment. Sugaring exfoliates the skin, leaving skin more sensitive to UV rays.
